The short version: what you log in Ember belongs to you. We do not sell it, we do not
share it with advertisers, and we do not show you ads. We keep only what the app needs to work, and you
can take a copy or delete everything at any time.
Who we are
Ember is operated by My Digi Partners LLC ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy or
your data, write to privacy@mydigipartners.com.
What we collect
Your account: the name you enter and your email address.
What you log: the date and time of each episode, the intensity you choose, and
anything optional you add — duration, trigger, symptoms, notes, and your daily check-ins.
Basic technical data: server logs with IP address and request time, kept for
security and troubleshooting.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party
analytics or advertising trackers.
How we use it
To show you your own log, trends and summaries.
To email a log or a backup — only to the address you enter, only when you tap send.
To generate the optional "pattern read." When you tap that button, a summary of your own entries is
sent to Anthropic's Claude API to produce the observations. It is not used to train any model, and it
is not stored by us beyond your own log.
To keep the service running securely.
We never use your health information for advertising, and we never sell it. We do not sell personal
information as defined by the CCPA.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run Ember, and only for that purpose: our hosting and database
provider, our email delivery provider, Anthropic (for the optional pattern read), and Stripe (if you
choose to donate — Stripe handles payment details; we never see your card number). We may disclose
information if the law requires it.
Donations
Ember is free. Donations are voluntary, processed by Stripe, and go to My Digi Partners LLC. They are
not tax-deductible charitable contributions. We receive your name, email and the amount — not your card
details.
Optional research sharing
Ember has a setting, off unless you turn it on, that contributes your log to an anonymous
pool used for menopause research. If you switch it on:
What is contributed: the date, time and intensity of each episode, how long it lasted,
the trigger and symptoms you selected, and your age range and stage if you chose to provide them.
What is never contributed: your name, your email address, any free-text note you wrote,
the pain location you typed, and anything else that identifies you.
How it is separated: contributed records carry a randomly generated code instead of your
account. That table holds no user id and no foreign key to your account, so it cannot be joined back to you.
Withdrawing: switch the setting off and every record you contributed is deleted. Deleting
a single entry removes it from the pool as well, and closing your account withdraws all of it. Your own log is
unaffected either way.
This data is never sold. It is provided only for research into menopause and related symptoms, in aggregate
and de-identified form.
How long we keep it
Your log is kept until you delete it or close your account. When you delete your account we remove your
entries, check-ins and profile from our live systems promptly, and from backups within 30 days. Server
logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Your choices
Take a copy: email yourself a full backup or download it from the app at any time.
Delete an entry: tap × on any line in your log.
Delete everything: ask us at
privacy@mydigipartners.com and we will close your account
and erase your data.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, restrict or port your
data, and to object to processing. Write to us and we will help.
Security
Passwords are stored salted and hashed — never in plain text. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to
the production database is limited to the people who maintain the service. No system is perfect; if a breach
ever affects your data, we will tell you.
Children
Ember is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Where your data is held
Our servers are in the United States. If you use Ember from elsewhere, your information is transferred
and processed there.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the date above and let you know in the app
before it takes effect.
